About Ryde

Thank you for your interest in Ryde Personal Transportation. My Name is George (or as my friends like to call me Horhey.)

Ryde Personal Transportation began with an idea that popped in my head midsummer of 2024. I had been driving with Uber and Lyft since December 2023, but it was a slow process as it was nonexistent in the city of Fort Dodge. One day I decided to make up some business cards and hand them out to all the hotels and bars in town. I also stopped at the Fort Dodge Regional Airport to let them know that I was offering Lyft and Uber. The airport was super excited that these services were going to be available because many incoming passengers have inquired about the different types of transportation services in town.

I found myself taking longer trips more than shorter trips, so that’s when I came up with the idea to start my own company. The idea evolved into something more.  I found that a larger capacity vehicle was needed, so I’ve added a Cadillac XT6 that seats 6 and a 2024 14 passenger Mercedes Sprinter Van to the fleet.

The company is still very young but from the feedback I’m getting from city officials and people around town the future looks bright. I’ve also set up shop in the old Hertz location at the Fort Dodge Regional Airport.

I currently accept Skywest vouchers for passengers that need transportation, and there’s a lot more on the horizon.

This is a one person show for now, but hopefully it will grow into something bigger. I love doing what I do and meeting new people and hearing all types of stories and I can’t wait to service as many of you as I can. Thank you for all the support that I have received thus far.
